"Please don't stop the music"

Image
I know it might sound like a stereotype, but I actually like all types of music. I can listen to classical, pop, rock, reggaeton, disco, jazz, rap, French popular music... Everything! Nonetheless, I have to admit that I have some favorite bands and artists. Among others, there is Queen, which is an English rock band whose singer was Freddie Mercury, and ABBA, a Swedish disco band. Both are from the seventies and eighties, therefore it was my parents who made me discover them. There are very different bands, and also a very strange choice for a woman born in the late nineties ! That's why when I talk with my friends about our musical preferences they are often surprised.           If listening to music helped me in various occasions in my life, I also enjoyed to play it. In fact, I played violin for three years when I was in middle school, but I only played classical, which is one of my deepest regrets. Unfortunately, I had to qui...

Special holidays

Image
Today, I want to share with you holidays that were very special to me : my trip to Malta with my parents and my younger sister. It was just three years ago, on October 2015. In France, pupils (and sometimes students also, but it depends of your university) have two weeks of vacations between the last week of October and the first one of November. Therefore, my parents decided to bring us to Malta, an Island part of the Commonwealth, located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea at the south of Sicily. We traveled and visited many different places on the main Island called Malta, but also on the second largest one (there are three in total) called “Gozo”. The landscapes were really amazing, however it is not the principal reason why we went there. In fact, I have distant family living there, cousins of my grandfather, whose own father was born Maltese. It was really emotional to meet th...

A country I'd like to visit

Image
One of the countries I am really willing to visit is Norway. It could be surprising at first, as I am French and I decided to do my exchange year here in Chile, which is a totally different perspective. However, let me explain why I have so much admiration for this place. To begin with, Norway is a country located in Europe, therefore close to France if I want to go there for my next vacations, even though it has not the same money as it is neither a member of the European Union nor of the euro zone. It is also not the same climate but it is not always freezing! For real, what really attracts me there is the type of social, economic, and environmental organization this state has achieved. Norway is in fact one of the best countries to live in, where people are happier (ranked first by the United Nations in 2017). Here’s an idea of what Oslo, the capital, looks like : If I have the opportunity to go there, I would really like to visit this city but also typical vill...
