Special holidays

Today, I want to share with you holidays that were very special to me : my trip to Malta with my parents and my younger sister.

It was just three years ago, on October 2015. In France, pupils (and sometimes students also, but it depends of your university) have two weeks of vacations between the last week of October and the first one of November. Therefore, my parents decided to bring us to Malta, an Island part of the Commonwealth, located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea at the south of Sicily.
We spent six days there, staying in the city of Sliema, next to the capital named Valetta. We traveled and visited many different places on the main Island called Malta, but also on the second largest one (there are three in total) called “Gozo”. The landscapes were really amazing, however it is not the principal reason why we went there. In fact, I have distant family living there, cousins of my grandfather, whose own father was born Maltese. It was really emotional to meet this part of my family, to discover the land of my ancestors. Consequently, I enjoyed this holiday very much, and I plan to go back some day !
You can now have a look at some photos that I took, which reflect well the different waves of colonization the Island has been through.
Tell me in the comments if you´ll like to visit this country !
